The team at Stronger People C.I.C actively contributes to the creation of academic literature, framework and best practice in the areas of child criminal exploitation and youth development. We are heavily involved in ongoing academic research in the field of CCE and constantly work towards developing and improving best practices around youth exploitation & intervention framework.

CCE - Common Misinterpreting

A practitioner’s misunderstanding of criminal exploitation can lead them to misinterpret a young person’s situation and cause ineffective interventions to be put in place. 
This not only leads to a lack of engagement but can also damage the young person’s confidence in the agency's ability to ‘understand them’ and help them. 

This article aims to give practitioners/parents/carers an increased understanding of the possible stages of child criminal exploitation. Correct interpretation of a young person’s situation is key in assessing their needs and creating effective engagement.
